Columbia Power System offers cash incentives to our customers installing electric heat pumps and/or water heaters in their homes.

Heat Pumps

	This incentive is available for TVA financed or non-financed units.
	Incentives will not be available for upper floor installations if non-electric heat is on the lower floor.
	The units shall have minimum efficiency ratings of:

Rebate request must be filed within 90 days of installation.

Water Heaters*

Electric, 40 gallon minimum Year-round use Proof of purchase Must replace gas to be applicable in apartments Rebate request must be filed within 90 days of installation. * All units will be site verified after installation.

Incentives Paid to Homeowner

Heat Pumps		$25/ton
Free TVA inspection available upon request. Incentives not available for upper floor installations if non-electric heat is on lower floor. Units shall have minimum efficiency ratings of (Dept. of Energy minimum):
		Package	SEER 9.7	HSPF 6.6
		Split	SEER 10	HSPF 6.8
Water Heaters		$100 per electric water heater (non-energy right qualified home) ($75 per 38-gallon low-boy in retrofit applications) 40 gallon minimum Year-round use Must replace gas to be applicable in multi-family (duplex qualifies as single-family; 3 or more units qualify as multi-family) Rebate request must be filed within 90 days of installation
If your home does not meet the energy right® guidelines, you may receive $100 per electric water heater, provided that: the water heater is at least 40 gallons the water heater is used year-round the rebate request is filed within 90 days of installation

Requirements to participate in the program are as follows:

Loans must be approved before work begins
Customer must select a contractor from TVA's
Quality Contractor Network
The installation must pass a free inspection offered by TVA

Heat pump loan can also include financing for:

Electrical upgrades
Electrostatic Filters
Programmable thermostats
Upgrading weatherization of home as needed

Loan:

Is fixed (currently 9%)
Maximum limit - $7,500.00
Is repaid over a period of up to 10 years
Appears on electric bill each month
