When you build an energy right® new home, you can be assured your home will be comfortable and energy efficient. The energy right® symbol is a sign of lasting value.

In addition, you may be qualified for a cash incentive from CPWS. See the chart below for incentive details.

You'll also get personal attention to your home. We will work with your home on an individual basis and will give you information on weatherization and heat pump improvements that will increase your home's efficiency.

Basic Requirements

  • A minimum of 500 square feet
  • At least one dedicated electric water heater, serving 100% of the water heating load (40-gallon minimum)
  • An all-electric heat pump or dual-fuel heat pump that serves 100% of the heating and cooling load
  • A full kitchen, hard wired for electric cooking and laundry services
  • Heating, cooling and air distribution system must comply with the energy right® guidelines, including minimum heat pump efficiency ratings as follows:
Packaged Unit SEER* 9.7 HSPF* 6.6
Split Unit SEER* 10 HSPF* 6.8
  • Rebate request must be files within 90 days of installation

* SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) - The cooling efficiency rating of a heat pump or air conditioner. A higher SEER indicates a more efficient and economical cooling system.
* HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) - The heating efficiency rating of a heat pump. A higher HSPF indicates a more efficient and economical heating system.
