There are numerous quality products available, and whether you're a MAC or PC user, a firewall is a good security tool to help insure your system's security isn't compromised. CPWS Broadband mainly deals with spam that originates from within the CPWS Broadband network. If you have received spam that did not originate from CPWS Broadband customers, please send your complaint to the originating ISP or network provider (usually abuse@domain). If you have installed "free" programs, especially music-sharing programs such as BearShare, LimeWire or KaZaA, you may have unknowingly installed other programs as well. These tiny "applets" can show pop-ups at random intervals or when certain programs are activated such as Internet Explorer.
