CPWS is excited to announce a new partnership with VanillaDirect that brings ultimate convenience to our cash-paying customers. Starting May 1st, paying your utility bill will be as easy as grabbing a gallon of milk or picking up a prescription.
Through this new initiative, customers can now make real-time cash payments at thousands of participating local retailers — including Dollar General, CVS, Walgreens and more.
"We know our customers are busy," CPWS CEO Jonathan Hardin said. "By bringing payment options to the stores where they already shop, we’re saving them a trip to our main office and providing 24-7 flexibility outside of our standard lobby hours."
How It Works:
Starting May 1st, simply take your CPWS bill to a participating retailer. The cashier will scan the new barcode located on the bottom of your bill stub. Once you pay the amount plus a small $1.50 convenience fee, your account is credited instantly.
No paper bill? No problem. CPWS customers can also generate a digital barcode right from their smartphone using the SmartHub app. Simply log in, select "Pay by Cash," and show your screen to the cashier.
